internet explorer messed up!!!
hey my ie is messed up so I want to re install it or something... Is there a way to download it or do I have to buy it somewhere? (all my attempts to clean it up with ad aware and spybot and agv have failed...)

Run a search of the harddrive for the ie.inf file. Once found, right click on it and left click on Istall.
It may be a hidden file so make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is checked in MyComputer>Tools>Folder Options>View tab. Since you're running XP, in Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs>Add/Remove Windows Components you can click on Internet Explorer as if you were going to remove it and it should give you the option to repair it. |

First try an AV scan, spybot scan, and adaware scan.
