There are loads and loads of sites that allow free font downloads. Google "free fonts". Make sure to extract them to your 'Fonts' folder, of course.

Just make sure you don't do what a friend of mine did. He downloaded pretty much every font he could find, and put them all in his fonts folder. On the next boot up, his system took forever to load. There were so many fonts that when he asked me to help him, I couldn't open up the C:/Windows/Fonts folder through explorer, as it would crash. So I had to do it the old fashion way, the command prompt. After that I reminded him to only download fonts he actually was going to use .

I once spent ages wondering why my printer was refusing to print, problem was I had a font that wasn't TrueType, so if you want to print with the font's you get it might help (don't know about printers other than mine) if they are truetype.

www.1001freefonts.com is a great site.... I have downloaded 1000+ fonts from there. If you find that you want to download all the fonts on a page you will be better off finding a free leech program. That way you dont have to do the repetitive task of download and save.

I just found DaFont, which is a pretty cool site. Available in both French and English.

Try to keep the number of fonts down to roughly 1000.
