Viewpoint media player

Umm... what exactly is viewpoint media player? seems like its on all computers, but today it popped up with some thing that it was updated successfully then was recommending more stuff to download? Do i need it/how can i get rid of it?

I have never heard of it. It's not on my PC as far as I know.

isnt viewpoint media player the default player the comes with windows XP??

Windows Media Player is the default player for XP.

It looks like the WMP icon. It is installed with AIM for helping to display ads in the AIM buddy window. It can be uninstalled.

you can find it under add/remove progs if you can find it. it looks exactly the same as WMP icon
