Downloaded Adobe Photshop?

I wanted to get Photoshop for the computer, but saw it was over $600. So, I thought maybe on a whim, I'd check WinMX and sure enough there were tons of them on there. Now I've downloaded MP3's and pics files, but never anything like a program as photoshop. My questions are. How safe is this and are they the actual software downloads? I have a great virus scanner, so I don't think anyone can squeeze a virus through without my scanner finding it.
