IM apps

ive heard a lot of bad things about different IM's especially msn messanger which seems to come preinstalled when you buy xp. what IM app do you guys prefer? ive been using yahoo instant messanger and it seems alright. does spyware get through or something? thanks.

have you used this program? is it any good? doesn't screw up the computer or antyhing?

AIMutation, Yahoo, and MSN messenger (not windows messenger) are the 3 I use.

I use Gaim to connect to MSN, Yahoo and AIM.

I use trillian to connect to aim (2 accounts simultaneously), msn, yahoo, and icq. Can you tell I spend a lot of time online?
