welcome to pcmech.

which intel moboard is it and which cpu are you useing ?

one trick I have used is to remove the cmos battery for a full ten minutes and then put it back in, and try to reboot.

sometimes a new motherboard will get the bios currupted and this fixes it.
I got this tip from intel

Make sure your bios recovery jumper is set correctly.

Still no luck.

On turning on the newly built computer, I get a colorful screen with the words "Intel Board...". However, I did not get a memory scan or POST condition so that I'm unable to enter the BIOS. Tried removing CMOS battery
and waited 10 minutes before reinstalling, but the same happens. Any
suggestions?? Rob

keep clicking the del key as soon as you turn it on, it will then go into the bios
sometimes you got to be fast, but by clicking it , it will catch on that you want to get in to the bios

Thanks bailey.

Recognizes memory, keyboard, & USB.

Next message:

"Entering setup".

"Press f12 if you want to boot from the network".

Any more good ideas?? Rob

have you fdisked and formated the hard drive yet or do you have the operating system loaded on the hard drive yet. sounds like maybe not.

go into the bios and set it to boot from the cd-rom drive and place the O/S cd in the drive and then reboot the computer
