Is there a tool for editing / annotating reader docs?
Hi,
I don't know if there are any Adobe experts here, but... I've got Reader 6 for XP and am wondering if I can add my own text boxes to PDFs with arrows or lines pointing to the area of the doc I am referring to. I have to check and edit text on a PDF (I'd much rather do it in Word) and at the moment I am simply writing down the changes and trying to explain them over email. I simply want to write the changes on the document (not actually in the text as I'm sure I'd need Acrobat for that). Anybody have any ideas? Are there any free tools around that will let me do this? Or perhaps another PDF reader that will do the same job? Any help is much appreciated as I am pretty fed up with using a pen and paper for this! |

You'll need the full blown version in order to edit/add to a pdf file.

Had a feeling that would be the case. I thought (hoped) maybe somebody somewhere had made a homebrew add-on that was freely available...
Looks like I've got to stick to pen and paper until I fork out for Acrobat then... |

Open the Adobe Reader help file (look under distributing and reviewing documents, and using commenting tools) - there are ways to do this, the creator of the original PDF has to enable commenting when the file is created, and you have to have the full version of Adobe Reader installed (the broadband suggested download). The download is 6.01, and you can only get 6.02 with the internal updater.
