Transfer Palm Desktop data from one PC to another

Is there a quick and easy way to transfer Palm Desktop data from one PC to another? I have tried copying over the "username" directory under the Palm directory that contains all the info, but it isn't picked up on the new PC. The last time I did this I eventually hacked some solution, but it took a long time and there has to be an easier way. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

the easiest way I've found to transfer the palm desktop data across computers, is to first synch your palm to the first PC and make sure everything is updated. Then install Palm desktop to the second PC, and now do a synch, forcing your palm to overwrite of all desktop data.

I agree, that's the method I used to duplicate my Palm data on my laptop. My sync cradle is serial but to make the updating of two computer easier (don't have to shut down to switch the cradle connection) I bought a serial to usb adapter. Now I can hot swap the cradle. Just have to remember to use the same usb port each time or you'll have to use Hot Sync setup to specify the correct port.

I knew this was always an option, I guess I am just worried about accidentally losing the information somewhere along the way. Syncing with the old computer does provide a backup, of course, so I guess I don't have much to worry about. I'm not terribly familiar with Palms, I never use them.

It wont matter much till you experience it first hand, but in all my hears using palm based PDA's; I can tell you that their software is extremely reliable (both desktop and OS), and you shouldn't have any problems.

In my limited experience with Palms, I haven't had any problems either. Unfortunately, I also have to deal with Intellisync, which is used to sync between Palms and Groupwise, which apparently is a huge nightmare.
