Checking computer?
Is there any software (preferably free) I can use to make sure my computer's running right, and how do I know if my computer is running the way it should?

Memtest will test the ram.
Tools from the harddrive mfr will test the harddrive. 3DMark will give the graphics a test. PCMark should test everything else. Distributed computing programs (such as prime95 and folding at home) will test the CPU. Everest will tell you the temps etc To get them all visit www.google.com and put in there name, and these are just the ones I run from time to time, there are lots and lots of others. |
