I am doing some searching for my husband, so I hope this whole question makes sense. We have 3 hard drives in our computer. He installed Linux on one hard drive. We already had Windows XP on the other. After getting Linux installed and working, the MBR stopped allowing him to boot to Windows. He knows how to pull off all of his files he needs except for his saved e-mails and address book from Outlook. Could someone please help us with this? Thank you so much.

Are you just asking where the file destination is?
I believ the files are kept in the C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Outlook folder. Let me know if that's what you're looking for.

Outlook or Outlook Express?
If Outlook, everything (mail, contacts, calendar, etc.) is contained in a single .pst file - default is outlook.pst but it may have been renamed. If Outlook Express, the mail is all in a set of .dbx files - inbox.dbx, outbox.dbx, etc. The addresses are in a .wab file. Either way, it's easiest to search for files and folders - *.pst or *.dbx and *.wab. |

Assuming that you'd rather be able to dual boot Linux and XP rather than just retrieve some data from the Windows drive, there are lots of resources on setting up the boot manager for that sort of dual boot on this page.
