Unknown hard error
Hi, Not sure if this is hardware or software related but here.........
After pc slowing down and now constantly freezes I decided to format my seagate hard-drive with a seagate utility then I used the winxp pro cd to install windows again, but after it copy's the files then says restarting windows it goes to a blue screen with stop: c0000221 unknown hard error\systemroot\system32\ntdll.dll I've tried diagnostics but no problem with the hard-drive , so I'm stumped as to what else to try. anyone any thoughts what causing this ? Maybe its a problem with the CD. Is it scratched? Do you have another windows CD you can try?

yes Bailey I have posted this on a different section, as not everyone looks on each section of this tech forum!
ghost2003 I don't think its the disc Just to update, I have replaced the memory stick and I have tried a different hard-drive both of these did not make any difference, so would I be right in thinking that just leaves the athlon xp 1700 CPU and the matsonic MS8308EP 266 Motherboard how do I test these or is it a case of going to a repair shop ? bully2dogs |
