looking for a print spooler program
back in the old days of windows 3 i used to use a print spooler program that handle my print jobs and didnt effect my usage of other apps while the job was being printed.
i have a client using a okidata 320 with only 26k of memory and there print jobs are quite large and need a dot matrix to do the way they want. besides buying a newer dot printer i was trying to find a software fix and i'm having some trouble. does anyone know of such a program for use with windows xp ??? currently when they send a job to this printer the machine basically stops responding until the job is either paused or finishes. i need something that will send the job first to the drive and then auto send to the printer without slowing down the response of other apps. |

PrintFile - printing powertool
PrintFile is a poweruser tool, that enables you to print files by simply dragging them onto the interface. It also supports n-up printing, which allows you to print multiple pages on a single sheet of paper. PrintFile can also act as a print spooler, watching a specified directory for files. Whenever a file appears in that directory it will automatically be printed. The program includes many other advanced options and recognizes plain text, PostScript, Encapsulated PostScript (EPS) and binary formats as well as PostScript and EPS files created on Macintosh and UNIX systems. The program is intended for advanced users. http://www.snapfiles.com/get/printfile.html |
