MS-DOS Thing
On my old gateway 2000 G6-200 XL (that i got from my grandmother) has an icon on the desktop that says "Run MS-DOS Applications" with a Ms-DOS Icon. what is it? can i get delete/get rid of it?

Whats on there, Win98?? You can but I would make sure it is just a shortcut to msdos prompt and not the actual program icon..

how do i know its a shortcut? if it is, where can i find the actual program?

right click it and go to properties. Is that win98 on that PC?? I think it use to be under accesories by default, but you could move it, grandma may have used it alot so she may have moved to actual program icon to the desktop..

No, Gateway installs the icon by default. It's not needed. It's just a shortcut to restarting the computer in DOS mode, which is available as a shutdown option.
