Cut Video File In Half

I have a video file that's 1.3GB, and I would like to cut it in half so that I can fit it onto two blank cd's. I don't want to lose any quality, or change the video format from what it is (.avi) to anything else. What's a good program to do this?

Use a non linear video editing program such as vegas video, make 1 cut 1/2 way through and export both halves separately.

The freeware version of what oem_guy_2002 said would be to download VirtualDub and set a in point at the beginning and an out point at at the middle and save that video. Then make another in point at the middle (the same place you made the first out point) and another out point at the end and save that video.

Dave.

You could also use a file splitter and just cut the file itself into two chunks. The only downside to this, is that you then must reassemble it on the other end.
