Registering Quicken 2001

I am attempting to register a copy of Quicken 2001 on my Window 95 computer. I launch Quicken, select the Register option, the computer connects to the Internet and an error message is displayed:

Connection to registration is unsuccessful. Please check your Internet settings and retry later.

All my Internet settings are correct, my computer TIME and DATE are correct. I have IE 5.5 on my machine and can use it. What else should I do?

you might be connecting to a old URL for registration at Quicken , have you gone to their site to see if they have a page for registration there?

You probably will have to register by phone.

The site has online registration for Quicken 98, 99, and 2000. After that, it must be done through the software.

Call 800-811-8766, that's customer service, not tech support. Just tell them that the computer is not connected to the Internet, they HAVE to help you register at no charge.
