What happens when you maximize the window?

Do you have the most recent version?

hover the mouse where the last column(the blank one) meets the last column that still has data in it, near the top of the page. Your mouse should look a little like this: <|> now resize your blank column to the right, so it gets smaller, you need to drag it. The other columns may shift by themselves, or you may have to adjust those as well.

Itunes

i tried using itunes and it was a pain for me as well, so i switched and now i use ephpod, which is freeware, and it works really well, very simple and no problems.

www.ephpod.com

hope you this helps, it doesn't fix your itunes problem, but its an alternative to getting songs on your ipod until u can rectify the itunes problem.

who knows u might like ephpod more then itunes!!!!!!1

Try resizing all the column so they are too big, forcing the scroll bar to appear at the bottom of the window, then see if you are able to scroll to the left and reveal the sidebar. Also, can you grab the very most left side vertical bar and resize that? can't do it on a Mac but maybe on windows.

Also, do a search for itunes in windows explorer and see if you can find and delete the preferences file, thus resetting the window preferences.

yea ive done the thing with the scrollbar before....even the scrollbar is cut off and i can move it to the RIGHT making the problem worse and back to the left when i do this but it only goes back as far as the point where it gets cut off. idk what u meant about the vertical column did u mean the edge of the window? moving that doesnt do anything either...and what exactly is this process file and how do i get it back after i delete it

EDIT: preferences file*

on the Mac the window size is remembered in a pref.plist file. It is probably in the registry in windows though. But, if you can find it and get rid of it, all your itunes preferences will be reset to their default allowing you to start over.

would i lose anything else? like the info about my songs (names, album, track #) i dont care about ratings for the songs or like that kinda stuff. theres a file called like itunes library.xls that keeps all the important stuff, ill make a copy of that bfor i find this file. anyone have any idea how i could find it?
