Outlook Express
My Outlook Express does not allow me to compact all folders. It has an error message that reads,
"The folder' Inbox, could not be cleaned up. There is not enough disk space. (File: Inbox.dbx, Error: 0x800c013c) As for space I have a free space of 20 gigs. Please advise how do I go about it. Thanks. |

I found this: http://www.mail-archive.com/pcworks@.../msg06718.html That says to delete Indox.dbx, but I would be careful about going about it. Make sure you make a backup of the mail before you do this, copying the .dbx file, and renaming it something liek index.dbx.old would be a good idea. If you want to be really sure nothing will go wrong, and if you would like it to be very easy to restore, use outlook express' export feature, to export the mail. I would take the address book with it as well just in case. Then you can import (using the exported file) all you emails and see if it will compact. Good Luck.
