Another I-tunes problem
Hello all, I had itunes 4.6 installed before installing sp2 - plenty of songs bought and paid for. Then after SP2 install tried to upgrade to version 4.7 - this gets all the way to the end of install and comes up with "cannot contact service manager, error message = 0"
Tried to contact Apple but no replies. Anyone had this problem or know of a cure? Cheers - Paul |

I don't have an answer to you problem, but did you find apple really hard to get a hold of also? I Lost some of my iTunes songs for no reason, and i still can't get a hold of them.
But are your songs that you purchased still on your HD? just because you loose Itunes dosn't mean you can't play the songs in Windows Media or any other program. |

Try uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes. As HF said you will still have your songs stored on your hard drive.

Already completely uninstalled itunes 4.6 when tried to upgrade to 4.7. From what I have read this may be a Service Pack 2 problem, one way is supposedly to uninstall SP2 then install itunes then re install SP2 - Frankly I don't really fancy the hassle of that. I don't think Windows Media Player actually can play itunes purchased tracks or I might be wrong.
What annoys me is that Apple do not seem to want to know but I surely am not the only one suffering this problem. Think I'll stick to Napster! Thanks - Paul |
