HP printer issue

When I try to install my HP officejet model 520 all in one printer on my Windows XP system with the files I downloaded off of www.hp.com I get the following error just after selecting to start the installation.

A window comes up with the title "16 bit windows Subsystem"
and it says:
"C:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application."

Close or ignore. Neither do me any good.

I:

Played around with turning computer on and off and rebooting.

Re-downloaded the software and tried again

I also tried goin to hp but they wanted more money for them to try and help then the printer is worth.

The printer is connected by a regular printer cable (Parrellel port I believe its called) And the printer has worked with the same software on other XP systems.

Thanks a lot,
Bdanner

PS.. Ordered my first build from newegg a few minutes ago

Almost sounds like the software is for a old version of windows (16 bit), you are 100% you downloaded the XP drivers and software?

This is the page i found for downloads for your model
