PLEASE HELP, I need to recover some major files!
About 3 hours ago I was working on contrusting a tranmission in Solid Works on my computer and then BAM. The power goes out. When I restarted my computer and tried to open the file if gives me the error message that I attached. Please can some one tell me how to restore these files. I dont want all time and effort spent for nothing.

If you didn't save the file before the pc shut down it's probably gone forever.

The ~ indicates a temp file, which is gone or corrupted. All you can do is go back to your last save, you are going to have to find that file.
