Office 2003
I'm sure this is a dumb question, and I'm almost sure I'll be secretly laughed at, but there's no chance of getting Office 2003 to run on win98se is there??? I'm not aware of anh mods that make new software backward compatible, or if such mods even exist. Along the same lines, is there Office 2003 available for OSX?? I've looked, but all I can find is OfficeMac2004... thanks for the help.

I put Office XP on my dads computer (windows 98se) so I don't see why Office 2003 wouldn't work. And I have no idea about Office for Mac, for some reason I doubt it, but it's possible I guess.

Strange, why would they have Office XP work with windows 98 and not 2003?

Because Office 2003 replaces Office XP (2002). It's written for a true 32 bit OS only. It was the same deal 10 years ago - Office 95, which replaced Office 4.3, would not run on Win 3.1.
Why don't you just put Open Office on the 98 box and the Mac? It's free and it's reasonably compatible. |

Sounds as though GLC has the know on this one. Personally I would save the upgrade untill you got an upgrade on your OS. But that's just me.

I actually only want Excel 2003 for this certain XML import feature it has- I want to keep track of my Halo2 stats, and they've developed an Excel 2003 worksheet to do it, but it has to be 2003, b/c no other version has the XML feature, apparently. It's not a huge deal, really. Just asking if it was possible. Thanks guys.
