Missing all my Hotmail messages!

I hope there's a simple answer to this one... I went to open Hotmail (web based, not on Outlook Express) and all the messages have disappeared.

Nothing in sent, or draft, or trash - anywhere!

What's happened? I can't work it out, and haven't set out to delete anything.

Thoughts? Is this a quirk of Hotmail that it deletes your files?

"IF" you've used OE to get the mail before AND didn't have the "leave on server" option selected then the mail gets removed from hotmail and downloaded to your pc.

No it certainly doesnt delete it - in spite of server upgrades or account upgrades to greater space. Do you / have you logged in to hotmail using a public computer and accidentally set your hotmail to save password or even forgotten to log off. It might explain why your messages got deleted.

No, I was on my office machine that is locked when I leave it.

Thanks guys.

Hmmm, can't understand this - everything seems ok at home, in both Express and the web-based version.

Maybe there was some glitch in picking up the emails with the web version?

Anyway, seems like problem solved, so thank for the replies you gave.

Messages get cleared after 30 days in the sent box, and the account gets cleared after a certain amount of time of inactivity.
