Best FREE Firewall and Virus Software?
Can someone tell who is regarded as the best FREE firewall software and the best FREE virus protection. When I get my new comp finished, I do not want to be victim to as much spyware, viruses and such as I have been. I also want to be sure that it does not interfere with my online gaming... (EQII)

Sygate and Kerio are free personal firewalls that work well.
AVG and AntiVIR are free antivirus that work well. Of course Ad-Aware and Spybot: Search & Destroy to scan for spyware and malware. SpywareBlaster and SpywareGuard are good spyware blockers. You can also use a modified HOSTS file, a spyware block list file and IE Spyad for further protection against spyware and malware.  Cricket

I'd recommend AVG, AdAware, and Spybot.
