Microsoft frontpage 2003 problem
i have Microsoft frontpage 2003. i went to internet options and i set front page as my html editor. i open my documents, then click on my webs then i click on the site folder and the folder opens. now it shows all the files of the site and pages for the site. So when i click on a file notepad pops up with the html of that page when it shold open the page in frontpage. I have never had this happen before and it worked just fine the other day.
i right clicked the files and it was set to open in word so i went to change where it open in and there is no frontpage to choose. i go to browse and i find it then i set it to open in front page, the icon next to it isnt the frontpage icon. and when i click on the file now it says " blah blah blah is not a Win32 application. How can i find frontpage under where it opens and fix this? Help Please Last edited by computerfr33k; 12-11-2004 at 04:13 PM. |

You're confusing me a bit - so when you open Frontpage 2003, you open up the HTML files. But even if you're in frontpage, notepad opens up - some clarification is appreciated there.

i open frontpage. the files show. i click on a file and notepad opens with the html for that page when it should open in frontpage so i can edit it.
i know what the problem is but i cant fix it. i right click the file and choose open with. and front page isnt a choice. so i do browse and make it a choice and the icon isnt the frontpage icon. and when i click on a file it says it is not a Win32 application. it never did this before, the frontpage was always a choice and now it isnt. I would uninstall and reinstall Front Page.

i hate it when people do that, i just uninstalled it then reinstalled it and now it works fine. I wanted to post. That makes me mad!

Try this. Go to where the file is located physically on your computer, as in the C:\\my documents... location. Right click on the file and say open with "MS Frontpage 2003". Then, set that as defauly from there. Post with results
