Backup of Microsoft 2002 problem????????
i backed up my copy of Microsoft Office 2002. When i go to use the backup copy to put it back on my pc, it gives me an error stating: "Error 25003. Microsoft Office setup cannot continue b/c the install source has been corrupted.". Does anyone know what this error message is, and why it is happening? I use nero 6.0 Ultra edition to do all of my burning. Could it be the blank cd r discs that im using? or is it how i burned the program to the blank media? i just copied all of the contents of the microsoft office cd to my harddrive and from there, just added the files to a new compilation and burned to the blank disc. should i use the "creates a copy of a disc" button in Nero? would that alleviate the error message?
Please Help, Thanks |

Making a backup of a CD for your own personal use is not piracy. Please let the staff handle these issues, spacemonkey. As long as this thread continues under this premise, it will be permitted.
You cannot just copy the contents to the hard drive and burn a CD - you have to use the copy function in Nero, and this may not even work if the CD is copy protected - you would have to try a CD copying application that does sector by sector copies such as CloneCD - and that isn't even a sure thing. |

Spacemonkey did not violate the rules, he just tried to act as a vigilante which is frowned upon - without having a solid idea of what is legal and what is not.
If you had said that you were making the copy to give to someone, then we would have shut the thread down. Quote:
In light of the tone of this thread, it's now closed as the technical issue has been resolved to the originator's satisfaction. |
