Power Point viewer?

What can you use to view Power Points on systems that don't have Word installed?

TIA

You can also use Open Office.

I'll look into that, too, glc. The folks needing a view (serveral, actually) have WordPerfect so I don't know if they want to switch just yet.

If they use WordPerfect, you should install Open Office for them anyway so they can view all the other M$ stuff people are going to be sending them - unless their version of WP handles Word docs and Excel sheets gracefully. I'm not suggesting a switch, just an addition.

A good suggestion. I also use WordPerfect (Office) and don't have any problem with Word files, but I can't remember if I've ever got an Excel file or not...

Yes WordPerfect is Excel compatible. I prefer the Wordperfect suite over word any day!

Kram posted a good tip that may help others:

http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.p...223#post842223

which is to change the *.pps extention to *.ppt which allows IE to open up the file for viewing.
