Software is weird

This is not a specific thing. Just a philosophical thing. Why is it , what causes some program to act up after years of being OK.
"you have messages pending to be sent,( bull ! there are none )- send now? send later? cancel ? or .. Etc ?"
Its irrelevant what the program is,.... the question is... Why has this program started to generate this error message every time I close it ?
What triggers these false warnings in software ? Its a real mystery to me.
I guess its unanswerable Eh? Just save the files and reinstall the program I suppose.
Chris.

Corrupt .dll files are the first culprit that comes to mind.

A shared dll file gets updated and an older program can't use it, is another reason.

Or, just simply a program is not compatable with a nother program.

You haven't recently installed netlimiter, by any chance, have you?

No I haven't tried NetLimiter. But come to think of it, while uninstalling programs I have always disregarded the uninstallers queries about 'not removing this shared file' and have gone ahead and removed everything.
I guess that could be a source of trouble , Eh?

It's a good possibility. I *always* hit no for the removal, just to be on the safe side.
