why was not able to install cookie crusher from link
I have windows xp sp2 OE, IE ,desktop pc, 2 ram, 250 hd. Intel Pentium 4
I purcheased a little program for twenty five dollars “ cookie crusher “from an online download link and it would not install even tho I closed all programs running in the background including a.v & firewall ,got neither while they have my twenty five dollars … I tried downloading from their link and when that failed I tried downloading it from downloads.com and it loaded some files and then I got a Microsoft message box saying program can not be installed , do you think if I tried to install in safe mode it would install why did it not install I wonder ? also I noticed I have a folder in programs cookie crusher and when I opened the folder it has three files in it and all three have 0 kbs Would it be safe to delete it , when I tried to delete it , I got a message warning me not to but why not delete it if it has nothing in it ? |

If all three files are empty I can see no harm in deleting them.
When you tried to download it online, did it try to install right away or did it download an install file which you then had to run? If so, did the file finish downloading? I checked out cookie crusher, and it looks like it's a free trial program that you pay to use after 30 days. If so, then the site you bought it from should have provided you with a license/serial that will probably work on any copy of cookie crusher; try downloading it again from a site like downloads.com, installing it, and then you should be able to enter the serial at some point to activate the paid version. Also, you can email buyatonce.com (if that is the site you bought it through because I'm sure that if the first download failed for some reason, they can let you download it again somehow. Send them an email.

Thanks guys,
I emailed them and faxed them without any reply , I liked the program so I purcheased it after one day trial . I have the license serial number , I tried after thier download link didn't install to use downloads.com to try to install it and still could not install it and I downloaded the netframe from windows updates like they require and still it would not install. so I haven't decided if I want to try it again or not I hate having to uninstall something that just gets installed half way then stops . but I have a pretty good unistaller with my ontrack system suite 5 , its gets it all out I think |
