firefox
All this talk about firefox had me questioning how good it really is, so I downloaded it and installed it. But I have one question, is my Norton anti virus protecting me when I use this browser. I can see no indication of my norton working like I do when using ie. Because of this I have not been using firefox... I hope someone can verify this for me please....

Norton Antivirus scans all files that are run, if realtime protection is turned on. This means that it protects you from virii whether you use Opera, IE, Firefox, or any other browser. If you want you can scan downloaded files manually for any malware they might contain.

You should be concerned about spyware too. Most antivirus programs aren't designed to stop or detect spyware and you should install programs specifically designed to deal the spyware problem. Programs like SpywareBlaster, Ad-Aware, Spybot: Search & Destroy, IE Spyad, a modified HOSTS file and a block file list will either prevent spyware from getting on your computer or will scan, detect and remove them.

Spyware
Thank-YOu for bringing that up, but It brings up another question. I currently use Spybot, Spyblaster, and AdAware, Will all these monitor firefox when I use it?
