Nero 6 updates

Hi

just wondering if anyone has had any problems with the Nero 6 updates, installed a new DVDRW with the Nero 6 software disc but after installing the updates had major problems reading and writing discs, created more coasters than i care to remember. Writing a disc it reached 100% but never reported Burn operation complete, it just stayed at 100%. Reverted back to the original settings from the install disc and all was ok.

You may need to update the drive's firmware.

I've also not had good luck with Nero 6. I've read elsewhere it's buggy. I D/L'd the 6.6 updates and still not burning much more than coasters, but it is slightly better. I've been in touch with their tech support to no avail. Updated all the firmwares in my (ex) current setup: Just today, I reinstalled my old Sony DRU 500A (fireware update to a 500Ax) but haven't had time to see if that makes a difference. It used to work fine running Nero 5.x.... we'll see.
