Hi there.
Can anyone help me figure out why I can't get Outlook Express to use an HTML file as a signature on my outgoing emails? I use Yahoo free email, but have POP access so I can use Outlook Express at my email client. My OS is Win XP Home (in case any of that info matters). Here's what I've done: 1) Created an HTML file called outlook express signature.html and stored it in C:\documents and settings\chris buhl\my documents\ebay\emails\outlook express signature.html. The file is one line long, and 2KB in size. 2) In Outlook Express, gone to the Tools -> Options -> Signatures tab. 3) Checked the box that says "Add signature to all outgoing messages" and unchecked the box saying "Don't add signature to replies and forwards." 4) Created a New Signature named Signature #1. It's the only one, so it's the default. 5) In the Edit Signature field selected the file button and browsed to the above location so the file I created is selected. 6) Clicked "Apply" and then "Close." 7) Closed Outlook Express. 8) Opened Outlook Express. 9) Sent several emails to myself at various address. All of the emails go through, but there is no signature on any of them. Any help will be appreciated. |
