Any freeware to capture any movie played?

Anyone knows any software that can capture what is playing on wmp. I tried WMM, but it saves as WM format. I need something that has output of mpeg, mpeg2, avi.
free one will do. How crude the software, or how big the file size after I capture is no problem with me. I need to import this to studio 9, but studio 9 can't handle xdiv, divx. and some other files.
Thanks

Got something else. Mainconcepts mpeg encoder.
Now finding something that can open jpeg, and save as mpeg. Even though still picture as a movie file. Anyone knows any software that can do this?

Mainconcept's mpeg encoder (version 1.4.2, not the H264 demo) will accept WMV and convert it to mpeg2 for (S)VCD or DVD.
The other one I know of, is OSS Video Converter Pro.
Tmpgenc may even accept WMV, with the .asf plugin...
