cleaning required

Well its time to get back into the seat of computer tweaking. My machine is in a mess in a cosmic sort of way and i need some help.

1st off, ive got limewire running on my computer. Every hour or so i get a message that a virus has been detected in the incomplete folder. I delete the stuff inside it, sometimes its gone, sometimes it doesnt let me. Sometimes i get some problems in the tmp internet files, which im gonna clear and scan. I recently downloaded F-Prot Antivirus, and after cleaning the TIF im gonna scan my whole system.

will this work or should i be doing something else. My computer seems to be running rather oddly. Spywares been cleaned.

well, first of all, if you get viruses using limewire all the time it might be a sign that you should stop using it
A bit more info would help, what version of windows are you running, is it updated? What AV do you have, what other protection software have you used to clean your pc?
F-prot if a good backup virus scanner but doesnt work well with ntfs partitions so its useless with XP(well, not compleatly useless but not very effective).
Look here for more info on cleaning your pc from malware http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?t=103171

For cleaning my registry i use easycleaner and regseeker (with easycleaner be sure to type HELP in the skip section)
