It's an image file of a CD or DVD. You can either load it into an emulator, or burn it to a CD or DVD.

If you burn it, you don't just burn the file - you tell your burning program to open the image, then burn. In Nero Express, you choose Disk Image or Saved Project, set it to look for image files (*.nrg, *.iso, *.cue). Other burning software should be similar. If you need to open it to extract specific files or whatever, you can use Isobuster.

Ummm - I believe you may be talking about software piracy here, against forum rules to assist with that.

If they are the original CD's, they would have the Microsoft hologram stamped on them as well as the Flight Simulator graphics. Looks to me that you need to contact eBay about this transaction. The seller I believe is in default of their policies and sold you a copied version of Flight Simulator. Dave. |

Yep, you are screwed. An ISO file can't be on an original CD. Never. ISO is an image of that CD, but when you use that image to burn a CD, you get a normal CD with the files on them.
ISOs of CDs are used on hard drives. I, for example, have created ISOs of all my CDs, so when I want to play a game I don't have to insert the CD, I just load the image into the emulator, and it's treated like a CD. So my original CDs are stored in a safe place. So, in your case, I'd contact the seller for a refund. And if he doesn't want, contact ebay, they should settle that. RJ |
