cant get painkiller to work!!
everytime i try to play painkiller it says that i have cd/dvd emulation enabled. but i dont. i have a few emulation programs but they are not on so what could be causing this problem?? all new games that ive purchased recently have been horrible! call of duty didnt work without a no cd patch, HL2 took me like 3 hrs befor i could play cz of that online stuff and i only have dial up, and now painkillers is giving me a problem. what ever happened to the good old days when you install a game and then play it, problem free??!! companies have taken coppy protection too far when it causes you to not be able to play a game that you just bought unless you go find an illegal crack for it just so it will work! its rediculous! but if anyone has any info on how to get this to work pls let me kno. thanx

Some games have a problem with Alcohol 120%, so if you have that, you may have to get rid of it.
Dameon tools is an alternative to that.

yep, check out this thread.
PainKiller problems.... I ended up taking the game back. I dl'd a 4mb patch to get it to see the cd. Then I needed a 90MB update for the game to work. That's a huge download for me. I also have dial-up. Took it back. To bad. I really wanted to play the game. |

i grabed a no cd crack for the version 1.0 like you said that 90mb dl is a lot!! but it works with it and there are other no-cd patches the work with newer updated versions. i would try those before bringing it back, its a cool game.
