Error message at the boot
When I start my new computer it says 'NO DRIVE ATTACHED TO FAST TRACK CONTROLLER, THE BIOS IS NOT INSTALLED'. At A> when I ask to format c: (that's where I stand with my new pc) it say not enough memory. In the bios the ram is 1024mb.
Does somebody know something about that error thanks pjibe |

What are your system specs?
That sounds like a PCI IDE card from a gateway. It doesn't work in anything other than gateways. Do you have your HDD attached to this controller?

no, the HDD is connect to Primary IDE1. I just was able to start the format c: instead of format c:/s as I was instructed. I am presently at 35% done. Do you think it s ok like that, even if I have that error message only at the start.
thanks a lot pjibe |

If you have a motherboard with a builtin RAID controller, that's the RAID looking for drives, and you aren't using the controller. You should be able to disable the RAID in the bios.
Why are you preformatting the drive? Win2K and WinXP do not require this, and it's really not desired either - when you boot with the CD the setup will take care of this for you. |
