Info re: PC Booster
I have just been reading the ad, here on PC Mech, about PC Booster. What I would like to know is would any of you recommend it for someone like me that is not really capable of tweeking his own PC. I have many of the problems that the Ad says will be cleared by the program, particularly the freezing up, even though I have recently upgraded my ram.
Being on a fixed income, I cannot afford to waste money on something that will not really do me any good. So would like to hear whether you think it is worth the $39. US they are asking or whether I should even consider this kind of software.

If money is a little tight (and we all know what that can be like) why not post a few of the problems you have been having and let people suggest some ideas to help you clean up and stabalize your machine using some the very good free products that are available.

In spite of the ads that help keep this site running, I cannot recommend any "swiss army knife" software. I haven't used anything like that in years - since Norton Utilities were *good* and Win95 was the latest and greatest.
Post your specific problems and we can tell you how to fix them using utilities built into the OS or with free downloadable tools. |
