dwwin.dll
Hello everyone,
This is, at least I think, a very minor problem thats been going on for pretty much a month or two after I got my computer. I put my computer together about 9 months ago. Here's my problem; every time I shut down my computer, I get this message, dwwin.dll This application failed to initialize because windows is shutting down. Now, the message is only there for a millasecond, and my computer shuts down properly. As far as im concerned, its really nothing. It's more of just kinda something I am finially getting around to try to fix. If anyone can help great, if not, oh well. Ive also done a file search for this, couldnt find it. My comp specs are: DFI Motherboard (cant remember model) p4 2.8c ATI 9600xt Western digital 120gb hard drive OCZ 1 gig ram |

Alright mate
dwwin.dll is Windows Error Reporting. You are getting an error at shutdown, it is trying to tell you but can't run the program which displays the message because the computer is shutting down And as you know, you can't run any executable after Windows XP shutdown without getting the error you're getting If you want to turn Error Reporting off (my personal recommendation ) then just do a...Right Click My Computer Properties Advanced Error Reporting Disable Error Reporting and untick "But notify me when critical errors occur" If not, you will have find the root of the problem, which is going to be a program misbehaving somewhere, probably not a very useful one ![]() You can try having a look through these http://www.annoyances.org/exec/forum/winxp/1029715523 Jim
