Rendering Question with gmax

Discreet has a free 3d modeling and animation program called gmax...

Now I've worked with 3d Studio Max at my school for years... (can't afford the real thing of course)

I was just curious if I could somehow render animations from gmax with another program since the render feature isn't included in gmax? Because whenever I put on a texture onto a model ... I cant see the texture until I render it(but I cant render in gmax) Is there any program I can use to render my creations in gmax? thanks a lot!
