key logger question...

so, my dad wants me to put a key logger on my little bro's computer for his own protection...

so, basically here is what i know so far: the key logger i have can send me the logs by email, and the key logger can also be "merged" into another file...

to send it out, it wants an email address to send it from. what email address should i put for that? do i put his? if i put his, wont he be able to find it?

also, anyone know how to merge files?

thanks!

How much does your little brother know about computer hardware and does he have any idea what a keylogger is?

Personaly I would prefer to teach him better habits, responsibilty and a certain amount of self respect if he is to be trusted on the internet, But if your father feels that key stroke catching is the way to go then maybe one of these will do you.

i see what you mean, my dad didn't exactly tell me "get a key logger" he told me what he wanted... he talked to him, unfortunately you never know... this is for his own safety

you wouldn't happen to know the answer to my questions would you?

I have never used one of the software based ones and I understand what you are saying about the email, he is going to know if an email goes out from his machine.
Sorry can't help you with that one.

Thats that idea booted in to touch then.
Interesting about the email, please let me know how it works out. I have no use for such a thing but it's interesting to know how it works, because you never know.
