Hi All
How do i get the fax facility to work in XP, have gone to add components and ticked the Fax box to install, it goes through the process ,but when i go back to add components it is unticked again, it is not asking for my Win XP disk. and i have a Fax folder in communications but no fax console it just says empty, my pc is up to date with SP2 and all is fine. Have Microsoft help and support but that is was much use as a square tyre. Cheers, eskimo |

You need a faxmodem before the service will install and configure. Even though ADSL shares your phone line, an ADSL modem can't fax, you need a standard faxmodem connected to the line.

Thanks for the info, makes sense really glad there are people out there with brains, if i had a brain scan they would need an echo sounder.
Cheers, eskimo |
