Outlook Express Trouble

My mom's outlook has recently started acting funky. The only folder of the "hotmail" folders that will appear is the inbox, and the sent, outbox, and bulk are nowhere to be found. She can't send or download new messages, yet no sign-in box appears; It seems like she's logged in. If she goes to hotmail via web browser and signs in there, it somehow makes all the other folders appear on outlook and everything is working normally. Any idea why it acting so weird? Solutions?

I'm not sure if that made any sense, but any help would be appreciated. If that was pure gibberish, let me know.

Sometimes deleting the Outbox.dbx will fix sending / recieving problems. OE will rebuild it as necessary. Don't know if it will fix your problem, but it's an easy thing to try.

Thanks, I'll try it. Any other ideas in case this fails?

Augh! Now I have this problem too.

If I sign in via a web browser, it will work again, but only for a limited time. Has anyone fixed this?

Maybe this is the beginning of M$ cutting off access to Hotmail free accounts with Outlook Express - they announced this last fall.
