Cleaning registry

How do you know what to delete/keep in your registry when you use a registry cleaner like Regseeker or Registry Healer? What are "Invalid ActiveX Controls"? I don't know whether to keep or delete them. And what does it mean if registry says "File or Path does not exist"? Does that mean the file has not been used in a while?

Most regcleaners will break down to differnt catagories, & sugest which ones you should remove, and others that will ask you to select for removal...also most of regcleaners has a "undo" option so you may go back and undo thec deleted entries if something does not workWhat are "Invalid ActiveX Controls"? The registry cleaner I use, it marks the entries that it recomends removing, and has two different levels of lower entries (red= medium...yellow=low) which it ask me to manually select...I look through them, and generally select them all for removal...then if something goes aray...I can go back and "undo" the deletions (which I have never had to do BTW). Hope this helps.

Keep in mind that one wrong move on your part can render your pc useless.

I use RegSeeker and usually delete everything it finds.

I also use Regseeker and I delete everything it finds. It has never found anything that wasn't safe to delete.
