Free To Do list software?

Hi

I am trying to find some software that does not use a lot of resources but runs on your machine and is kind of a To Do list. So if someone called you or you had a thought you could pull it up quickly and make a note, or something you could refer to that lists things you still need to do.

I tried using the Tasks list in Outlook but I don't like it. Anyone know a freeware program?

Thanks
Haggis

It's pretty basic, but there's a software post-it notes kind of thing. Is that what you're looking for, or are you aiming for something that is a scheduler and can remind you of when to do it as well??

Hi Jaggannath

Thanks for the reply, I am just looking for a post it type thing that I can write reminders on really. Something freeware. If it had reminders that would be a bonus but not essential

Maybe overkill for your needs, but I've suggested the Palm OS to several friends and clients and they all think it is great. The same program that is used in the Palm devices is available for download (for free) from Palm. With it you can create multiple address lists, a daily calendar schedule, things-to-do lists and much more. Not a resource hog either. If you're interested, here's a link:

PR is spot on. The Palm desktop is probably the best free PIM out there.
