Excel Formula
I have a column of numbers that I would like to divide each number by 2. I thought I knew excel quite well....I don't. What mod do I type that would divide these numbers by two. The numbers range from D7 to D110. I searched every where, but am probably asking it incorrectly. Thanks -matt

What is the destination cell for the final value?
Are you adding all the numbers, then dividing by 2, or is each individual number being divided by 2, and each answer is being put into a cell?

I'm not sure if that's possible or not. You will run into a circular reference problem.
What I suggest is to have a seperate block of cells to imput your numbers, (for example, G7-G110) then for cells D7-D110, put in the equation. Example: for D7, the equation would be: =G7/2 |

Thank you Force. It was the circular reference problem that I kept on encountering. I did one equation in column g then just copied and pasted all the way down and it divided and I just moved it to the correct spot. Just when you think you got it figured out a simple math equation in excel sets you straight. thanks again -matt
