Outlook issues with attachments
I have a computer that will not allow me to open attachments in outlook i.e. MS Word unless I have MS Word opened before hand. Any ideas/help? Thanks in advance.

Try renaming the extension to something else. example if you have a file called letters.doc rename it to something that is not on the Microsoft kill list. letters.mig etc. Once you get the file delivered, save it to your HD and rename the extension back to .doc and you have your file. Microsoft has good intentions but this is getting crazy, I wish they would let you have the option to scan the file before you accept it rather then outlook delete it automatically.

Here you go, the article can seem a little intimidating at first, due to the length. Stick with it though and follow the steps to configure your attachments how you want them to be...
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/as...364471033.aspx This applies to the latest Outlook, not early ones or Outlook express. |
