Norton products

I'm having problems with products such as Norton Internet security. I bought the installation disc. As I was in the process of installing the program it just keeps failing. Its the same thing with programs I download. Certain files won't install causing the installation to fail.

Has anyon gone through this??

I have an Athlon XP 2200+,
Coolermaster CP5-6J31C Fan,
DFI Lanparty NFII Motherboard,
512MB Ram ,
Maxtor 250 GB Hard Drive.
Windows 2000 Professional.

The only message is something like "Norton Internet Security installation has failed? Do you wish to install again?" RETRY or CANCEL.
Retry just keeps bringing up the same message again and again. Cancel will lead to Setup error. "Installation has failed..."

Sounds like Windows itself is messed up. You might want to do a Windows XP Repair Install to get Windows back in shape.

Win2K, not XP, Cricket.

Sounds like a messed up Windows Installer. You may need to reinstall it.
