I can go to any webpage even the "My Ebay" webpage but when I try to login, IE will not let me through. I have the SSL 3.0 and SSL 2.0 checked or turned on. I even turned the SSL 1.0 on when I read the error message. Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?

What does your Internet Options look like within IE? Check the Security tab and see if you have something set too high that is keeping you from loggin onto eBay.
Open IE-->Tools-->Internet Options-->Security tab AK |

Acid-Klutch,
They are set to medium and I even configured them to fit like my older machine which is running on XP Home version. I even tried lowering the settings to low but IE would not allow it. I also went on another computer and it let me log into ebay. All are running through the same router. Thanks for your reply. |

backbone,
I have a Linksys wireless WRT54G router using dsl, and I had to change my MTU setting to 1438 due to factory default setting of 1500 was too high and would not allow some sites to load at all. Quote:

Hey pawprint,
I have the older one that you mentioned right in here in this room beside the new one. They are both going into the router but they are not linked to each other or are not interfacing (not yet but I am going to run them as a network). I did not run the D-Link software on this new computer and I think that is where I may have messed up and I think you are on to something. Previously, all I did to this new one is set the LAN SETTINGS to automatically detect settings. I am going to try a few things and look at what you posted. |
