need to open excel spreadsheet

Can anyone tell me how to open an Excel spreadsheet w/o Excel. I have a spreadsheet I need to open, but I don't have Excel. I don't want to buy it for one document. Are there other programs that will work?

Thank You in advance for any help.

OpenOffice.org might be able to do it, well it would but how pretty it looks is another matter.

Free Excel viewer from Microsoft. If you need to edit the spreadsheet, OpenOffice may be your best bet.

OpenOffice will open Excel files. You can open them, or you can save them in an excel format. For example: I had a spreadsheet I created with OpenOffice and saved it in it's format and sent it to my dad who doesn't have OpenOffice. He sent me an email back saying he couldn't open it, so I resaved the file as an Excel file and he could then open it.
