Switch from M$ windows xp pro to Mandrakelinux
I am thinking about switching to Mandrakelinux, Question is can I install Linux on the same hard drive as windows xp or do I have to reformat and partition and fresh install Mandrakelinux..
Thanks anyone using Linux or who just knows. And also does one like Susie or Mandrake. Dan |

First off its called suse not susie
If you have never used linux before or your not good with linux yet, I would partition a few gigabytes on your hard drive for linux and keep windows on for now. |

have used mandrake 9 for a short while. i used partition magic 8 to make an extra partition. mandrake installed easily onto the new partition without disturbing XP.
